Discount price for IAVE members at CEV Symposium

The European Volunteer Centre is offering IAVE members a discounted participation fee of 100EUR for this year's CEV Symposium, which is only available if you register before Friday, September 16th. Since there is an IAVE meeting in Berlin prior to the conference, CEV would like to invite IAVE members to prolong their stay in Berlin and join the Symposium ‘Volunteering and Active Citizenship-Two Sides of the Same Coin?

The Symposium will take place in Berlin (Germany) on 19th – 21st October 2011.

Through this event CEV aims to accomplish the following objectives:

• To further grasp the link between volunteering and active citizenship;
• To ensure a space for debate starting from concrete, specific projects implemented at local level by comparing and contrasting similar projects from across Europe;
• To identify the most effective ways to empower citizens to be active through volunteering.

CEV is still looking for contributors to the workshops on Day 1! Has your organization engaged in a project or initiatives related to volunteering and active citizenship, and, more concretely, on one of the 7 following themes? If yes, please send CEV a 2-3 sentence description of the project by the 19th of September and they will get back to you.
