IAVE 21st World Volunteer Conference Workshop 513: Policy to Playground: Emerging Challenges of Volunteer Managers

The foundational differences between non-profit and corporate organizations can often mean that direct translation from one to the other becomes problematic. In this workshop, French Vibar will focus on how to create empowering and empathetic environments within non-profit and volunteer organizations, identifying and analysing core competencies within the volunteer environment with the goal of developing baselines and frameworks for volunteer engagement.

Michael will focus on real shop floor challenges that Singapore Volunteer managers are facing in the new millennium such as rise in episodic volunteering and working with Gen X&Y volunteers smong others challenges. He will discuss how all of these may require changes in the way we worl with volunteers.
