This Summer, Learning to Care Institute is looking for trainers from the Arab World Ramliyyeh, Lebanon (July 12-18, 2010)
In keeping with the objectives of the Arab Initiative to Foster a Culture of Volunteering, the Association for Volunteers Services (AVS) is seeking to prepare teams from the Arab World to serve as trainers for their Learning To CARE Program (LTC) in Lebanon from July 12-18, 2010. It is a comprehensive approach towards volunteering and community service in schools and other educational institutions.
The aim is to establish Arab LTC team experts who CARE and are Capable, Available, Reliable, and Engaged, and that these teams will gain enough initial training to be able to go back home to train schools in their respective countries in order to help them develop their own school service programs.
Training is to be carried out in the form of an intensive one week retreat in Ramliyyeh, Lebanon, during which these future LTC trainers will get aquainted with the core material of the program and its details. Participants should also expect follow-up support through online conferencing via Internet in the coming academic year.
Please note that attendees will be representing their respective countries and that each country team should consist of four members. Please find the application form and information about the project under following section:
