The time is now: The National Service-Learning Conference, U.S.A.

IYOC

The National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) defines Service-Learning as " a philosophy, pedagogy and a model for community development that is used as an instructional strategy to meet learning goals and/or content standards." Youth service and the voice of youth are vital to this philosophy.
April 6-9, 2011 the NYLC, HandsOn and generationOn will bring together over 2,200 people from around the country and the world for the 22nd National Service-Learning Conference 'The Time is Now' in Atlanta, Georgia.
The conference is open for young people and for those working with young people.
The program will include 3 days of interactive workshops, showcase of service-learning projects and networking sessions. There will be more than 100 exhibits and over 200 hands-on workshops and service-learning projects.
Those registered by December 17, 2010 will enter in a drawing to receive 3 free nights at the conference headquarters hotel. You can submit an application to display your service-learning project during the showcase not later than December 17, 2010.
