Volunteering England goes for London 2012!

The IAVE member organisation Volunteering England answered the call of the The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and of the London Mayor, Boris Johnson and is going to play a central role in inspiring young people to get involved in London 2012.
Justin Davis Smith, Chief Executive of Volunteering England said the association will be particularly focused on guiding the hundreds of thousands of people attracted to the LOCOG programme to the wide range of other volunteering opportunities available to them. VE will also be encouraging 2012-inspired national, regional and local programs to collaborate with existing organizations along with the local infrastructure.
The joint announcement last July 27th  was a call for 70,000 volunteers to help run the Games and for 8,000 volunteer London Ambassadors.

The association is committed to provide all the training and tool for the volunteers, in order to strengthen their involvement in London 2012. For more news and events click here
