Welcome to AVS workshop on Volunteer Action for Human Development
at 20th IAVE World Volunteer Conference on 3 April 2008 at Panama City
In Hong Kong, Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) has taken a more pro-active role to participate in public issues related to volunteerism, attempting to influence policy decisions for human development in line with the ethics of volunteerism.
To share our mission and our recent development with counterparts worldwide, we are delighted to host a workshop on the theme of “Volunteer Action for Human Development”. Mr J P Lee, SBS, OBE, JP, Chairman of AVS will present three different cases to demonstrate the contributions of volunteer action at different levels for human development.
