Youth Forum on Climate Change, 6 - 8 of December. México
The Youth Forum on Climate Change Climate (CCYF) from 6-8 December, will take place during the conference for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 16). Held in Cancun, Mexico from November 29 to December 10, the forum will include the participation of 150 young experts in the field.
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico and the Village of Climate Change, the main objective of the CCYF is young people around the world will collaborate on a document containing concrete proposals on Climate Change, to be delivered to the President of the COP16.
The young people selected, 18 to 35 years old, will have the opportunity to participate in conferences, roundtables and discussions with experts as well as voice their proposals and concerns to politicians who will meet at the COP 16.
The Latin American Youth Space-Espacio Iberoamericano de Juventud-EIJ reminds us all that the deadline to register is on 1st December. Applications need to be endorsed by EIJ member organizations, National Youth Councils or any other NGOs working at a national and international level. Participants need to cover their travel and accomodation costs.
