danger in Bogota
I have travelled to Bogota (from Canada) once before and feel completely safe going back. The same things you do in any large city to remain safe apply here as well, but that's it. It might also help to remind your husband that you will be with other people from the conference almost all of the time.

Danger in Bogota
There is no problem coming to Bogota. You can be sure you will have a very good and safe experience. As in all big cities you have to take certain precautions, such as not going late at night alone in solitary places.
