Considering E-learning strategies for young learners with special focus on the impact of Internet

This workshop will highlight a study conducted in Mauritius on “Impact of Internet on Children and Young people”. The recommendations of this research study were acknowledged by the cabinet in Mauritius and as such are valuable reference when mounting E-learning programmes for learners and educators.

The workshop will flag the following: 

  1. Internet risks and safety
  2. Internet and Learners
  3. Myths about Internet usage
  4. Emerging Tech options
  5. Safer Internet and Child safety
  6. Research actions and documentation
  7. Use of Internet by young people
  8. Inappropriate content and dangers
  9. Recommendations and the way forward for E-learning Strategies

The session will consist of:

  • A Power point Presentation,
  • Questions & Answers, and
  • Distribution of educational materials and highlights of the Research Study.
