“Gone Clamming”

Mary Ripley, IAVE’s Founding President, passed away yesterday (January 27, 2016) in California. Mary dedicated her life to global volunteering, and founded the International Association for Volunteer Effort in 1970 with likeminded volunteers from around the world. She was an active volunteer for the last 70+ years of her life, and focused on activities involving children and women. To learn more about Mary’s amazing life’s work, click here to read her biography, A Portrait of a Life of Service. Last year IAVE members and friends helped create a book, filled with notes and cherished memories, which was presented to Mary on her 100th birthday. Click here to view the book virtually.
