The Kenn Allen Global Award
for Volunteer Leadership

In honor of the lifetime contribution to the global volunteer sector, IAVE has instituted the Kenn Allen Award to recognize an individual whose volunteer leadership has had a transformative effect on their community, country or region. 

The Award will provide a one-time stipend of $1,000 to be used for professional development. The Award will be made annually, on November 1st, Kenn Allen’s birthday.

Nomination Criteria:

To be eligible for consideration for the Kenn Allen Award, the nominee shall:

  • Be a current volunteer
  • Have provided significant enthusiasm, assistance and specific expertise to an organization or cause as a volunteer
  • Have shown initiative and leadership in his or her efforts
  • Have exemplified his or her dependability
  • Have received no remuneration for services directly associated with his or her volunteer duties
