A Study on the 3rd National Plan for Volunteering & Service in promoting volunteer activities

By Volunteering Korea, IAVE National Representative, South Korea

In October, Volunteering Korea conducted a research on the 3rd National Plan for Volunteering & Service for 2018 to 2022. Through this study, we were able to:

  1. diagnose the current situation of domestic and foreign volunteer services
  2. evaluate the implementation of the 2nd National Plan for Volunteering & Service
  3. respond to domestic and global changes; and
  4. propose the vision and policy tasks for volunteering for the next five years.

Under the vision of “Growing Volunteer Service, Growing with Korea”, five policy areas were established so that the 3rd National Plan for Volunteering & Service could continue to promote volunteering activities. The five policy areas established are as follows:

  1. Volunteer participation
  2. Infrastructure of Volunteerism
  3. Volunteer Management
  4. Impact Measurement
  5. Global Volunteer Cooperation
