Volunteering Together to Enable Change and Create a Better World.
VIRTUAL GLOBAL FORUM SERIES
VIRTUAL GLOBAL FORUM SERIES
The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized how volunteers as agents of change provide the practical action that builds hope and resilience, improves lives and strengthens communities. Although the pandemic has resulted in the postponement of the 26th IAVE World Volunteer Conference to 2021, the conference theme chosen for 2020 of volunteering together to enable change and create a better world has never been more relevant or more real.
As a result, from July-December 2020, we convened virtually through a series of global forums, thanks to the support of the Emirates Foundation. Through these conversations, we will explore the past and future of volunteering, including how it has impacted the response to COVID-19. We invite you to download the context papers and watch the session recordings to learn, share and acknowledge the important contribution volunteers make to all communities across the world.
