We are pleased to announce the appointment of Guillermo Correa as the new Board Chair of the International Association for Volunteer Effort – IAVE, with his term beginning in March 2026.
Guillermo brings deep experience and respected leadership from across the global civil society sector. He currently serves as Founder and Executive Director of the Argentine Network for International Cooperation (RACI), a long-standing member of IAVE’s Global Network of Volunteering Leadership (GNVL), and has served IAVE as the Regional Representative for Latin America, a role to which he was elected by members.
A strong advocate for volunteering and civic space worldwide, Guillermo is widely recognized for his work in nonprofit governance, coalition-building, and strategic leadership. He has extensive board and governance experience, a clear understanding of the board’s role in organizational strategy, and a strong track record in fundraising and international collaboration. He is also the creator of Reimagining the Future of Civil Society; an initiative focused on protecting and strengthening civil society globally. Guillermo’s vision reflects IAVE’s global mission and values, including a commitment to equity, partnership, and international advocacy.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ruth Lewin for her leadership and service as Board Chair and look forward to Guillermo’s guidance as IAVE enters this next chapter.
