Biography

Sanda Rakocevic is the Executive Director of ADP-Zid (Community Impact Accelerator – Zid), a leading Montenegrin NGO advancing civic engagement, solidarity economy, and volunteerism. With more than 20 years of experience in developing volunteer policy, advocating for enabling legal frameworks, and supporting grassroots engagement, she is a recognized leader in the region. Under her leadership, ADP-Zid has become a national driver of volunteerism in Montenegro—developing curricula, launching national awards, and coordinating high-impact initiatives involving thousands of volunteers.

Sanda has played a critical role in advocating for national volunteer strategies and legal reforms, and has contributed to volunteer policy at both the national and regional levels. She has also helped shape international volunteer discourse through ADP-Zid’s longstanding membership in IAVE, Good Deeds Day, and the Points of Light network. As a new member of IAVE’s Board of Directors, Sanda brings deep knowledge of volunteer infrastructure in post-transition societies and is committed to building inclusive, policy-driven, and innovative pathways for volunteer engagement across Europe and beyond.
