In the face of sobering news around the world, IAVE created a dramatic and memorable year. We are especially grateful to the members and partners who animate our work, bringing their enthusiasm, expertise and resources.
- IAVE brought over 1,000 global volunteer leaders together in South Korea for our 27th World Volunteer Conference, graciously hosted by our partners at Busan Metropolitan City Volunteer Center. Stories from the conference can be found on IAVE’s blog at iave.org/news.
- We hosted a global Ideathon with the Emirates Foundation, which resulted in three stellar volunteer organizations winning $25,000 each to implement their winning idea on “Volunteering for Sustainability.”
- Now IAVE is working alongside Forum, Generation Unlimited, IFRC and others to host a series of Global Dialogues about the future of volunteering that will inform what happens during the United Nations’ International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development in 2026
One short year from now, the world will celebrate IVY 2026—the International Volunteer Year.
